A servant leader is an individual who fulfills the call of GOD on their life by assisting others to achieve their goals without hidden motives or agendas. These individuals serve at a high capacity and take on the role and assignments with a GODLY attitude as if the assignment was their own. These individuals sometimes utilize their own resources, tools, funds, and connections to help the individual they are serving to rise to the top.
There is a misconception that servants are often last and forsake their vision for the individual they are serving. However, Matthew 23:11 says the greatest among you will be servants. There are three benefits to serving:
I remember reading Luke 9: 46-48 when I first gave my life to Christ. One of the first things I did, was read the Gospel, and read the letters in Red. I felt like knowing the words of Jesus was the wisest thing I could do, especially being young in the Lord, and having a desire to live right. Reading the Gospel, and focusing on the letters in red blessed my life. If I could be transparent, these words really stood out because you all know I come from an athletic/prophetic background, and the first thing I wanted to know is how I could be great. (Don't judge me.) To my surprise, greatness wasn't based on my skill, gift or abilities. Greatness was measured by what I could do to make others better, and my ability to serve. Even in my basketball career, my position was point guard, so I was responsible for being a play maker, and making those around me better. If I could be honest, I never knew basketball knowledge, would bring me so...
Who do you think you are? I have always been asked this question, and it was usually in a derogatory manner. I grew up in the projects, and if you had a little more than average or even desired anything outside of the norms that we were accustom to then you would be asked this question. As a creative person, I always loved to use my imagination, and, I would spend hours laying in the grass looking at the clouds, thinking about what I would be when I grew up.
Years ago when I heard this question “Who do you think you are,” I would respond with my name, and who my mother was. There were times when I would hear this statement, and get offended, because I wasn’t sure what they were insinuating. However; The Father instantly checked me, and declared: “You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, Who do I say that you are?"
The Father began to remind me of the many times throughout my life I was asked this question , and my response was...
Have you ever asked yourself these questions, “Who am I?” “What is my purpose?” “Why am I here on earth?” Well, I believe that at some point in time, most people have asked these very questions, and wondered about their own identity. We are exposed to so much from birth to adulthood, from the moment we open our eyes until we go to bed at night. Seeing so many world views on TV, from reporters to celebrities, from blogs to social media, everyone has an opinion making it challenging to know who we really are.
So as a believer, what does my identity in Christ mean?
When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you are adopted into the family of God. This means that you are no longer identified as a child without a father. Due to sin, we became separated from God, and were identified as orphans. When Jesus died on the cross, he redeemed us from our sin, and paid the way for us to be brought back into our rightful place with the Father....
Have you ever heard the scripture, "This battle is not yours, but belongs to the Lord." If not you need to read 2 Chronicles 20:15. The Lord is advising the people of Judah not to be afraid. Not to worry or be dismayed, because the battle they were facing did not belong to them, but belonged to the Lord. I know I have quoted this scripture over, and over. However; this scripture didn't hit home, until I discerned the secret of warfare.
Have you ever been in such a battle, until your nervous system was thrown out of whack. You began to panic, have anxiety, and feel a sense of defeat. Well, I been there, and done it, and declared I won't enter any battles alone moving forward. Once I was reminded that greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world, everything changed. I began to view warfare from a different perspective. That's why when you hear me declare, "Devil you in trouble," I mean it. I am not...
Get ready to work with a Blank Canvas. Get ready for everything to be removed out of the way, so GOD can route back to the original intent in which you were born. Get ready for the nails in your life to be removed; the damaged walls in your life to come down, and the crazy things you put up all in the name of protecting yourself. It's time to become vulnerable, and it's time to allow GOD to place us under construction, so HE can get the glory out of our lives. Pause, and consider becoming a blank canvas. In other words, get ready for the coast in your life to be made clear. You have places to go, people to meet, and things to do. Your life is on assignment!
A blank canvas is a place of peace, a place of opportunity, and a place of clarity. In this place, there will be some uncertainty, and maybe even some fear. But be not afraid, GOD is with you. He got you. You won't crumble or go under. Your story is coming to...
When we are moving into a season with GOD, and Holy Spirit is leading, there is a lot of construction going on. Inwardly we are being worked on, and it appears as if we are a total mess. Stuff is everywhere, life feels upside down, and downside up. Nothing seems to make sense. It appears as if our entire world is being transformed, and it's hard to imagine the beauty through the madness. In the midst of transitioning into a blooming season with GOD, Holy Spirit takes on a journey called transformation. He inwardly tear down, to build up, He throw away, to add in, He cover up, to later reveal, the beauty of who we really are. We just have to press through the season, and continue to endure even when it's a mess. The mess is apart of the assignment of becoming.
Yes, the mess is apart of the assignment of becoming. Many of you are becoming the person you prayed to become a decade ago. GOD is making you...
Just when I thought it was time to move forward into a new series, Holy Spirit stopped me in my track, and declared, "Don't Stop talking about ME." I was in awe , and amazed that Holy Spirit has enjoyed being apart of our class, and enjoying the response from each of you. I was planning to teach on Blooming, and how to Bloom; however there is no blooming without Holy Spirit assistance. So, we are in for a treat the next few weeks. I will be bringing more insight on Holy Spirit, the mysteries of speaking in tongues, and strategies to help you unlock your purpose.
I hope you know that I am invested in you being unlocked. I want each of you to know that it is my heart for you to walk into your purpose, and into your destiny. GOD is serious about performing the word HE spoke over us before the foundation of the world. GOD is invested in each of us. HE wants the best for us, and desires to see HIS word come alive in us. As...
We are already halfway through the year, and if you have been attentively listening to every prophetic word this year, then you should be rejoicing. We began the year strong with a powerful word, Out the Blue. If I could be honest, we are living through an out the blue time. This season has been one of unexpectancy; suddenly, and caught by surprise. This is a very prophetic time we are in, and as I have mentioned before, this is the time of a divine reset. Being reset back to the original intent in which you were sent into the earth. We then declared this will be a Year where “It will be GOD; Ephesians 320, Yahweh Remembers, and Jaw Dropping. As I add up these words, I want to encourage you, that it’s your time. CBK it’s our time. We have all been through the wilderness, delivered out of Egypt, now it’s time to experience harvest, and promise. It’s not by surprise we began a series on the...
For years I found myself speaking for Holy Spirit, and being His prophetic voice in the earth. I would speak, and proclaim the word of the Lord with power, and full of confidence. Each time I speak, I would later share the word of the Lord with my mother, or with friends, and found myself using "The" in front of Holy Spirit. If I could be transparent, I never paid any attention to that small detail, nor did I think it mattered, until Holy Spirit revealed this mystery to me. Holy Spirit advised me that He loves to be called by Holy Spirit, and not The Holy Spirit. When I received this small revelation, it unlocked major breakthrough in my life. This touched my heart, and I instantly felt a closer relationship with Holy Spirit. Now I am more cautious, and aware of the detail. I even cringe when I hear others reference Holy Spirit as The Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit, isn't a it. He's a person, and the more you unlock the...
